Anyone else impressed by how incredibly humble Henry has been during his historic tear? When I see how he conducts himself during interviews, I don’t know, I just have a good feeling, he’s going to continue to ball out after getting his new contract.

Yes to that....seems like a great kid

I guess I don’t disagree with what you are saying here, I just don’t understand how this in anyway refutes what I am saying.

The cap went up x percent right? Then average salaries across the board will also go up x percent. So the two cancel each other out. There may be a way to take advantage of for one team for a year, but overall, it is not the gain people keep arguing that it is.

Glad to agree lol. I actually wasn't disagreeing more or less just

Agreed, your last post is basically what I was trying to get at but much shorter and more direct. That's why I was saying it's really trying to take advantage of the cap increase at a particular point in time. Its certainly not the way the most people envision in at least not the way I understand it or see good teams leverage.

Gotcha—thanks for clarifying!

So the talk is, the floor is Elliot's contract, and Henry wants to be the highest paid rb in the nfl..

if that is the case, franchise tag him and start looking for our next RB

Or just top Zeks guaranteed signing bonus and avoid losing the best back in the NFL

Pretty sure I said this over and over and a bunch of people told me he wouldn’t require that much money. Turns out I was right. Will people still want to pay him this contract? I would be fine with the franchise tag.

Just give him more guaranteed money and not as long a deal. Thats what these guys really care about

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills here. We've known for over a month that he would get this kind of money. Now do you think hes worth it or not?

I've always said RB is the most replaceable position, and paying one this kind of money hurts your overall team. Henry has convinced me over the past month that he is an exception.

Changed my vote to no. I was all in on keeping him but after hearing he wants more than what the cowboys shelled out. I can not see us being competitive spending 15-16mil a year on henry.

Wow... after all the flack @Titanoiler51 and I got for this exact same stance a month ago... he was always going to want this much money

I never gave you or anyone crap for that. I assumed he would take a deal around 12 with a high amount guaranteed. But once I heard from his mouth what he wants I can no longer get behind it.

He is a great rb but as is in football tge qb is more important. If we keep conk then I could see a rookie along with a back like drake as a 1-2 punch picking up the slack.

If he takes a smaller contract I welcome him back but 16mil he can go f himself

Where do you rank Henry in terms of overall offensive weapons? Top 10? Top 15?
