I just think that works both ways. Always hyping up minorities just because minority.
For the record, thought black panther was good, not the best marvel movie but definitely better than most.
Captain marvel was good, but only that.
I think we could find other movies with much more negative reviews (ghostbusters for ex)
Didn’t see get out and to be honest was kind of surprised to see a guy that has succeeded in comedy have success in horror.
Guys from comedy do well in horror.
Kenny Powers just did the Halloween reboot which was pretty dang good.
Horror directors seem to do well the other way moving to comedy too.
I wouldn’t say Get Out was a horror movie.
I’d say more of a suspense/thriller.

I don't care what the cast/lead looks like. BP was an okay movie. Get Out was a good movie. Neither were anything special within their respective genres (race of the cast aside) or even remotely warranting the kind of hype and praise they received.
But did you watch HEREDITARY
pretty good, The Viper and the girl's acting were spot on. I really liked the setting, and the merc suits were pretty cool.
However..
the whole "Queen's lair" was very disappointing, and the ending was super abrupt.. like "we only 90 have mins, gotta stop right there"
it was some nice eye candy in spots though
It really pisses me off that you clowns keep trying to make "minority" films into political wedge issues. The point of their successes has nothing to do with your imaginary "lerbbrul agernders!"; the point was that for decades Hollywood said there was no market for any of this stuff and they've been proven dead wrong. Repeatedly.
If you let sociopathic talk show hosts tell you how to think you're going to have a bad time.

There's a lot I'd like to say. But taboo is gone and I guess in retrospect I should've never even posted that. I honestly didn't mean to start a political debate, was just making a passing comment. But I guess there was never any chance that would not happen on gotitans.com. So I've gone back and deleted it.
Also I don't watch/listen to any talk shows.... like, at all ever. So you're barking up the wrong tree with that one.
Anyway, moving on.....
No it wasn't.But get out was one of the best and original horror movies in recent memory.
I didn't make it 10 minutes into that movie.No it wasn't.
@Cajun_Titan_33 lol why the pigeon bomb? i put a spoiler tag

People are pissed because they are came out and said they are wrapping up thanos storyline in the first 20 minutes.
Us
IMO, better than Get Out. I was skeptical about Jordan Peele, but he isn't afraid to do something different and it is exactly what the genre needed.

So I guess Dumbo came out this weekend? I haven't seen a single advertisement for it. Not that I was interested in seeing it, but it seems like it is getting buried by the studio before it even has a chance.
Weird. I saw a trailer before Captain Marvel and thought it actually looked pretty damn good (for what it is). But yeah, I've seen absolutely no advertising for it aside from that.So I guess Dumbo came out this weekend? I haven't seen a single advertisement for it. I'm interested in Dumbo also, primarily because it's a Tim Burton joint. That probably explains the lack of promotion; it's a Disney property directed by a former Disney employee but it's not really a Disney product.
