The thing is that its damn near impossible to empathize with Supes in any real way. He's on a nice planet with nearly unlimited powers, living his best life but has girl trouble because...why?

Just watched White Boy Rick and it was good. Matthew McConaughey was good as his father.

Rick's father, Rick sr., has some Sons of Anarchy logic going on. He is morally opposed to dealing drugs, and sells guns to gang bangers and dealers.

He was sentenced to live without parole at 17 for 8 kg of coke. He has been in the can for over 30s and holds the record for the most time served for a non violent juvenile.

His testimony though put away a ton of corrupt police and politicians, which is likely why he has been treated so harshly. Some very powerful politicians.

I watch almost strictly Netflix and amazon so im always behind.

Just watched War Machine (brad Pitt). It was interesting but sad at the same time. I feel it accurately depicts the US goals in Afghanistan.

Edit: guess I should add trailers too

Well, me and the wife went into Best Buy to buy a part for my PC and little did we know that Engame was just released. We canceled our The Art of Racing in the Rain date night and went home and watched Avengers lol.

Finally saw Endgame. Loved it. Thor Lebowski is one of the best characters in the history of cinema. Change my mind.

I had already seen Homecoming so some big things were already spoiled going into Endgame. But they were things I was 99% sure were gonna happen anyway so nbd.

Just watched The Imitation Game.

More interesting than expected.

Though... it's based on a book - Alan Turing: The Enigma - released in '83.

Ok.

The movie centers around, mostly, his work on building a machine, computer, to decrypt the Enigma machines in WW2.

That was the 40s.

At the end of the movie, it said that the knowledge of the group to break the Enigma code was kept quiet for 50 years.

That's the 90s.

So... how can a book released in '83 have information about what he did during WW2 if that was kept secret until a good decade later?

Was the book slammed as misinformation or what?

Looking like Disney and Sony are going to agree on a deal... Spider-Man will remain in the MCU for another 6, possibly 7, films - 3 of which will be Spider-Man specific movies.

Who's the better bad "Superman"... Brightburn or Homelander?
Homelander no contest. Brightburn is basically just a bratty kid with powers. Character is pretty one dimensional. Should've been so much better.

I'd still love a movie version of Red Son....

When I was watching The Boys... I kept fearing that Homelander was jealous of his boss's baby because he wanted her and the baby was getting all the attention.

But...
later in the series, it was because he was jealous the baby will get a childhood.

Brightburn - It was pretty okay. Worth a watch but not something I'll be revisiting anytime soon, or ever probably.

I enjoyed it

but my problems was

who the fuck just takes some random kid that crashed landed in the woods? how do you not make a bigger deal about this kid not bleeding until he is 12? was/is he vaccinated? they did a horrible job with his background story?
