The CARPENTER halloween was amazing, the sequel was very solid. The rest were terrible. The Rob Zombie remake was mediocre. The 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th. were absolutely attrocious.
Definitely. I love the original Halloween. I also liked III which of course had nothing to do with Mike Myers or any of that stuff, but still a solid 80's scare flick...

I'm a huge Vincent Price fan. I've even carried a couple different VP avatars here over the years. I think The Fly may have been the first horror movie that really scared the piss outta me.
I have a soft spot for the William Castle stuff especially but I also dig those Poe movies and the early 70's English movies ala Phibes and Screaming etc.
The Tingler is my alltime favorite VP movie. One day David Cronenberg will have to remake that one.
I was under the assumption that nothing scared The Gloat.

Plenty things scare me. Aging, the economy, and stds. And if Gloat thinks it's lame, it probably is. No doubt.
Maybe you should make a list on non-lame flicks so I can avoid all things lame.
