I am seeing reports that Byard did NOT restructure, and took the $3M pay cut with incentives to get him back to $14.

Wouldn't that be... restructuring his contract?

Yeah, which is even more generous than just a restructure. On one hand, I am glad he was willing to help the team, on the other hand I wish he would not have needed to do that.

He didn’t need to. Man is a Titan and believes is all i can come up with. Imagine having serious wealth, and knowing your D is top shelf, and being so close not too long ago to the only thing left you want. Brady did it often.

I just learned that when Robin Ventura mistakenly thought he could take Nolan Ryan, Ryan gave Ventura what’s called a Texas haircut in front of some 50k fans.

It kind of pains me to hear Texans fans claiming they should get to wear another team’s uniform.
Oilers we’re never Texans (the football team), Texans we’re never Oilers.
Those fans he feels bad for, must not have been all that much of an Oilers fan, they either didn’t support them or didn’t stick with the franchise that moved.

some of us did. Oilers fan and continued as titans fan.

it’s not like Bud up and moved in the middle of the night (ponies) and stole a team from a strong fan base (rams/Browns).
He moved from a place people quit watching.

id have to find the old article, but at a “save the Oilers” rally at the stadium, not 1000’s or even 100’s showed up, 95 people showed up.

Sounds like a money issue...Fant made 3 mil with the Jets, shouldn't be too difficult to get this done
