Excited to see Davis and Tanny have an off-season together to develop chemistry. Remember Davis, Hump and Sharpe were the 1s practicing with Mariota all camp while Tanny was over with AJ. Probably a big part of their ridiculous chemistry out the gate.
Dude missed 4 games this year for a drug suspension. And he’s competitive as anyone. On what planet would he not be amenable to restructuring? I’m not talking about a pay cut. But this is the “big year” of his 5 year deal where he counts 18.5 mil against the 2020 cap. Restructure with a prorated signing bonus and spread some of that deniro over the next few years when the cap is higher. Doesn’t effect his guarantees.
On this planet. Planet Earth.
FYI signing bonus still counts against the cap.
Of course it does, but you can spread the hit over multiple years. That’s the advantage. On this planet. Planet Earth.

Well I guess we can just sit back and see who is right. I’ll guarantee you it doesn’t happen. Guys don’t sign deals to make them the highest paid at the position and then turn right around and re structure them.
I don’t think Danger said he predicted restructuring Lewan, he just said it was possible. In most cases, restructure contracts forward money in the form of an increased bonus which can then be prorated over the life of the contract. This is actually where most “dead money” comes from. He might do it and he might not. I would say Butler and Casey are the two best candidates for restructuring if needed.Well I guess we can just sit back and see who is right. Mahommes, Brady, Brees and Rivers will drop Tanny to #11.
1. Seahawks QB Russell Wilson: $35 million
2. Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger: $34 million
3. Packers QB Aaron Rodgers: $33.5 million
3. Rams QB Jared Goff: $33.5 million
5. Eagles QB Carson Wentz: $32 million
6. Falcons QB Matt Ryan: $30 million
7. Vikings QB Kirk Cousins: $28 million
8. Colts QB Jacoby Brissett: $27.98 million
9. 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo: $27.5 million
10. Lions QB Matthew Stafford: $27 million
Basically, the first two years of the Tanny deal is about what he'd received if franchised.

And I’m saying it’s not possible because it won’t happen.
He will be in a year or two...all those numbers will change radically.
And I’m saying it’s not possible because it won’t happen.
Not possible and won’t happen are not the same. It is certainly possible. It is highly unlikely.

Its not a possibility because it won’t happen. No sense in talking about this anymore lol good grief people. It’s not happening. Move on.

Yeah, you said that before and it was wrong. Logically that does not work. But whatever.

Logic has escaped many on here already it seems.
I bet you don't remember Gary Brown, Gary Wellman and Bucky Richardson
i would think it better to try judging this question AFTER he plays on the new contract.

Why was I quoted in this lol?
I saw that Davis had turf toe most the year. I'm a huge Davis fan, but he didn't have a good year. I'm hoping there's something to the injury, it's not like he forgot how to ball. Get healthy and connected with Tannehill, add AJ and Smith w/ Henry running it, and this offense should be lethal from week one!Excited to see Davis and Tanny have an off-season together to develop chemistry.
