Absolutely, Amy has to tell Robinson what his budget is. If it works, they do it. If we are cash strapped and can’t, we aren’t quite as good next year in all likelihood.
We didn't have to find replacements for jonnu or CD, they were already here. At the absolute very least we could have tagged one of them. Now we have extra holes to fill along with edge rusher which clearly isn't easy to fill either as shown by the clowney/beasley experiment.
I hope we get a stud edge guy and it turns our defense elite, all the while replacing jonnu and CD with cheaper options and not skipping a beat on offense.
However I feel as it's far more likely that instead we overspend on an edge rusher who makes our defense probably still below average, meanwhile our offense takes a step back.
If I have the choice between elite offense/terrible defence or average offense/average defense I'm taking the elite offense/terrible defence everyday of the week. You don't win superbowls by being average.
With all that being said, I hope I'm wrong. I hope we don't miss jonnu and CD, I hope our defense takes a huge step forward. I just don't see it shaking out like that.

I think if we get a good DE in FA, draft a DT, DE and a decent CB we will be alright
