Yep, beware of the jags these next couple years
Well Titan off the Mark said they wouldn’t be a threat so no need to worry!
I’m shocked no one has posted we signed Blasingame and then attached the obligatory Lombardi Icon.

What teams have more cap space than the Colts? Jags, Jets, Bengals? With the possibility of 1 year deals, you think good players are leaving a playoff team for a 1 year deal with a crap team?Compared to theirs ... yes. Who do we have that’s comparable to Justin Houston? Autry? Hooker? Rhodes? Those are important players to their defense and will cost a lot more to sign than our guys,
We may see that this year depending on the final cap number. Some guys will absolutely be about maximizing their money for next season. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them include a “ no tag” clause too. What teams have more cap space than the Colts? Jags, Jets, Bengals? And Beasley offset a decent compensatory pick we would have got for Mariota leaving. Double whammy.Which is why the Beasley signing still stings. That’s 9 mil that could’ve rolled over.
I think we have about $11 in space now but we could make a whole lot more easily. A simple Tanny restructure alone could free up close to $20 million this year. I ain’t worried.
Why would Tannehill restructure, he just signed that deal.I think we have about $11 in space now but we could make a whole lot more easily. A simple Tanny restructure alone could free up close to $20 million this year. I ain’t worried.

More guaranteed money. Why would Tannehill restructure, he just signed that deal.
I think Lewan and Butler are the two most likely to restructure. Those two could put us in fine shapeI think we have about $11 in space now but we could make a whole lot more easily. A simple Tanny restructure alone could free up close to $20 million this year. I ain’t worried.
Titans expected to franchise tag Jonnu if deal isn’t reached (not sure how reliable the source is).
Why would Tannehill restructure, he just signed that deal.
Because he wants to save money so they could win. And it would likely give him more in guaranteed money.
I dont get that at all. not at all.Titans expected to franchise tag Jonnu if deal isn’t reached (not sure how reliable the source is).

Maybe they have a deal with CD or know who his replacement is. So they get Jonnu.
Then again, we can tag him and trade him if we want.
the franchise tag for a TE is 11mil
According to that site, we are about to pay Jonnu Smith 11mil
How much do we pay Henry?

What does that matter?
what are you asking? What does it matter that we would be paying Jonnu Smith 11mil a year, or what does it mean what are we paying Henry? What does that matter?
Either way seems self explanatory to me..
We are really going to spend 11mil on a middle of the road TE when we need defensive help so bad?
or...
we pay Henry 12 mil a year and our entire offense is based off of him and we are supposed to pay some minor, 4th or 5th option (in passing), the same?
Restructures usually just mean converting some salary into a bonus spread over mutiple years. The same total is guaranteed though. Why would Tannehill restructure, he just signed that deal.
