Good signing, but we still need another legit starting corner. Adoree was really bad last season and while Butler was our best defensive back last season, he shouldn’t be a starter on a contending team, and was too expensive as a back up.

Personally I dont trust Watkins, hasn't played a full season since rookie year?

I know some have said these guys are more #3s than #2s but I like what DeMarcus Robinson and Isiah McKenzie bring more so than Watkins, same age but they seem younger and more reliable

I like us to look at Rasul Douglas or Garedon Conley

Watkins would be great but someone mentioned there being some friction between Watkins and our WR coach Rob Moore in the past.

I think TY Hilton makes the most sense. But I wouldn't be upset with Josh Reynolds, Kenny Stills, or Willie Snead either. Golden Tate would be a pretty big disappointment since he hasn't been good or healthy since 2018.

Cordarelle Patterson would be great to have to be a Kalif Raymond replacement as a reserve WR and return specialist, but he might be too expensive for that role.

I wouldn't be mad with those options, but you can't really compare McKenzie and Robinson to Watkins. Even in like 8 weeks Watkins can potentially outproduce those two. McKenzie isn't even a free agent and he has like 750 yards total for his career.

If Watkins plays 8 weeks, I don't trust him personally

McKenzie is a FA according to this
Isaiah McKenzie.

You're right, not alot of yards but good in the slot and gets TDs...multiple positions as well as return experience

Ask and you shall receive!

I stand corrected. Still would of preferred someone with a little more production, especially since we don't have a real threat at TE. Not sure if Josh Reynolds is the answer either, but at least we're in a better position for the draft.

I suspect they think Lamm can do the job.

Yeah we'll draft one, but I think the plan is for Lamm to get most of the playing time. I would love to get Walker Little in the 3rd/4th. Was considered a 1st round talent 2 years ago before he his injury and COVID.

Not to turn this into a RT thread, but...

My sense is that JRob greatly values the bookend Tackle concept. He has shown how much he values that by using draft capital to move up the the 1st for Conklin, and drafting Wilson in the 1st (higher than most thought). We still do not have that high end guy at RT, so I can see him taking another shot at it.

Now back to Jenkins...

I think he may limp through next year with what he has. Maybe a higher round next year. This year there are bigger fish to Fry. BUT... with Robinson you never know. My top board would pretty much never look like his. He has his own thoughts certainly and that adds to some unpredictability with his picks.

The most part a no show..... um no. He had 2 very good years for us. A little injury prone at times, but he only missed 3 games total in the last 3 years.
4 years 11 TDs and 2851 yds. We’ll agree to disagree. That’s for a #5 overall! Easily replaced production.

Was he great pick at No. 5? Not really. But he wasn't a bad pick either. And he was most definitely a good player for us and not a "no show for the most part."

We have 4 top 100 picks this year. I’m not going to panic too much yet. Should be able to fill a lot of holes through draft. And yes Carp, CD was a good player, I’m just upset he wasn’t good/great.
