Tannehill was not going to get 30 mil last year. If you give up a 4th, seems like they would have tried to re-do his contract for at least 2 years.

reports were that they actually DID try to redo his deal at the time of the trade but tanne didnt want to because he wanted to bet on himself and test FA after 2019.

seems like he made the right call

Bottom line, without Tanny, we aren’t in the playoffs. Henry or not......We went from having virtually no pass game, to teams respecting our pass, which also helped Henry produce. Dude threw the team on his back and balled out. He made throws we haven’t seen made here in quite sometime. More importantly, the team rallied behind him more often than they did behind Mary. I don’t know how anyone wouldn’t want Tannehill back with a year behind in the system etc.

I agree.

BUT we lucked into the playoffs, and during the playoffs it was the Henry show. Our passing game was nowhere to be seen.

Tanne was throwing darts but these folks want old man Brady pushing to throw the ball 20 yards.

That’s two fold though, at least against NE and Balt.
The passing game wasn’t seen because it wasn’t used because Henry was killing them.

15 att vs NE
14 att vs Balt.

we don’t know if THill would have disappeared against either D if Henry wasn’t working.

What does being an Oregon fan have to do with anything. Is it not true KC stopped DH and we needed more from passing game?
That's oversimplification... KC attacked and dominated our Oline, which was the way to stop Henry - NE and Baltimore tried to stop Henry only.

Unfortunately, the Oline is the key to the running game AND the passing game.

Defeat the Oline, you defeat the offense.

KC won in the trenches.

NFL Rumors: Titans Using Tom Brady As Leverage To ‘Lock In’ Ryan Tannehill?
by Dakota Randall on Thu, Mar 5, 2020 at 1:55PM

The Tennessee Titans reportedly are dead set on bringing back Ryan Tannehill, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have plans for Tom Brady.

The Titans are using Brady as “leverage” to re-sign Tannehill at a lower cost, Boston Sports Journal’s Greg Bedard reported Thursday morning. Both Tannehill and Brady are scheduled to become free agents March 18.

From Bedard’s column:

The truth is there isn’t much of a market, at least not with teams Brady really wants to or would play for. You, me, the Patriots and the lampost know Brady is not playing for Raiders or Bucs. He might, at the very end, play for the Chargers but they might go another direction before that. The Giants and Colts are out. League sources expect the Titans to lock in Ryan Tannehill at some point at a cheaper rate thanks to the Brady leverage, although that could change.

Tannehill revived his career last season in Tennessee, eventually leading the Titans to the AFC Championship Game. Perhaps the former first-round pick truly has turned a corner.

As for Brady, his impending free agency continues to be a source of rampant rumormongering.

The offense was unstoppable until we went to the Robiskie, run till it pops attack at the end of the first half. Tannehill probably attempted 1-2 passes between that time and the 4th quarter, when we got the ball back while being down 18.

And being an Oregon fan is relevant because you try to diminish Tannehill's efforts by using an oversimplified and inaccurate take.
