Agree. He’s gonna need a couple weeks.Vrabel already said he’s playing inside. So he won’t be out of position.
King will literally play the Logan Ryan role for us. They are very identical players except King is better and younger.
It’ll take a few weeks for things to jell though. Cant expect a guy to come in with no practices with his new team and lock it down.
When I said out of position, I meant more about how far back from the line vice putting him outside.
Hope this happens I hardly see our CBs pressing their guy, just 10 yard cushion and zone. Now back to this pass rush is our problem thing, no its not. No pass rushers outside of Aaron Donald are closing in on the QB in 2.5 seconds, its just near impossible.
So what we need is to tighten up on the backend and actually try to cover guys so we can buy our pass rushers that extra second of time they require.
And King will help achieve that.

Ah gotcha. Well the nickel is usually close to the LOS. It’s the outside DB’s that have been playing so far off.
Some stuff coming out this morning on why the Chargers wanted to move King.
Maybe he just needed a fresh start and we dam sure need him. Coaching staff of the chargers is not very good all that talent on defense and they do not do much with it. But blow 17 point leads
Nice pickup for a 6th. Now scoop some good players with the rest of our late picks, hire a DC and let's go on a run.
LOL naw, we're probably done with deals now.

All their fans are raging they let him go for only a 6th. That's the reaction I like to see when one of my teams trade for a guy lol.I wouldn't be surprised. I don't get this move from LA. There must be something else we don't know.
This doesnt bother me. He's playing for a deal, so he's motivated. Some stuff coming out this morning on why the Chargers wanted to move King.
It's a bit concerning he wasn't more motivated this final year of his rookie contract but he'll come in here knowing what he does the rest of this season will have a huge impact on his future. This doesnt bother me. He's playing for a deal, so he's motivated.
Vrabel ain’t playing that shit. He’ll be a model citizen hereSome stuff coming out this morning on why the Chargers wanted to move King.
Titans basically traded Correa for King when you take the 6th round pick into terms :cigar:
Debrief: Winners (and one loser) from Week 8, trade deadline
The Titans' secondary: The Titans are worse at getting off the field on third down than the Jets are at doing anything. Mike Sando of The Athletic notes that the Titans are allowing opponents to convert 62 percent of third downs, the worst number through the first seven weeks of a given season since such data started being recorded in 1991. A problem this big has more than one cause -- it's not all because of the anemic pass rush being provided by Jadeveon Clowney and especially Vic Beasley, who doesn't have a single QB hit all season. The team's secondary, which is banged up, and the loss of former defensive coordinator Dean Pees (who retired in January) are also factors. Sunday afternoon's performance in Cincinnati, where the Titans helped make Joe Burrow look like Patrick Mahomes, was a cry for help.
Titans coach Mike Vrabel needed something or someone. Giving up a sixth-round pick to acquire slot cornerback Desmond King from the Chargers qualifies, even if the fourth-year veteran is in a contract year. Vrabel is well suited to take better advantage of King's versatility than Chargers defensive coordinator Gus Bradley. King can't fix Tennessee's potentially fatal flaw by himself, but it's a start.

I just hope he is cleared and on the field sunday with Adoree, again Jackson needs to play.
Have they ever said what the issue with AJ is? I had hopes we'd see him week 4, but who knows at this point. That said, AJ / Butler / King should be a massive improvement. Won't matter if the defensive scheme doesn't change a bit though.I just hope he is cleared and on the field sunday with Adoree, again Jackson needs to play.

You can bet with those three there will be a lot more tight man coverage. It is what Vrabel wants to do.
If only he had a dc to scheme and organize.. But ah well, our crap-terrible DC gets to keep on being a crap-terrible DC for the time being.

If King can stop these ridiculous 3 and 15 conversions he’s worth two 1st and a 3rd to my emotional well being.

Ahhh he has a knee injury. He also plays CB so he needs to be 100% before he plays. IMO part of the problem is scheme. However, we did have similar problems late last year when Adoree was out and were lucky to get him back for the playoffs.
This looks like a real nice pickup for the price and a possible season saver. Not that King is great but he is better and we weren't going anywhere like we were. Fulton needs to drop his testicles as well and start contributing.
