I like that anything other than t-shirt and jeans you guys consider "funny".

Good lord... get out of your little town a bit.

If you dress yourself up, you want people to look at you. And most "dudes" DGAF about people "looking at them". Most dudes want to be judged on their performance at whatever they do. They want to be good at work, providing for their family, or personal achievements.

Unfair as it is, our society judges women off of their appearance or "sex appeal". When you rant about "looking good" or being "good looking" you come off completely as effeminate. At least how I see it. And effeminate isn't a bad thing except your damn narcissism comes out and you start spouting off about being "right " (which you aren't) all the time and nobody can take you seriously.

This makes no sense. There is nothing wrong in taking pride in the way you dress or how you want to present yourself. The same way as someone might take pride in their work or achievements as you said.

If that was the case, and to stay on topic with the thread. Why didn't Derrick Henry attend the Heisman ceremony in b-ball shorts and a tank top? Clearly he was there because he was good at his work and achievements. Saying that there is no need for him to want good to look as well?

did he wear chick shoes and a racoon tail?

It makes complete sense. Sure, your form is an indicator of your substance. If you're unkempt, sloppy or fat, one can surmise you're not interested (or too lazy) in projecting who you are.

Dressing so others are attracted to because of your appearance rather than your performance is a very effeminate and NOT masculine trait. Traditionally, performance IS the primary trait by which men are judged by other men and women.

This is spot on. That's why I always tape a copy of my bank statement and my latest performance review to my forehead any time I leave the house.

I agree with Riverman, I couldnt care less what people thought of what I'm wearing. I dress the way I'm comfortable with not what others think. I don't dress like a slob, I have self respect, but I don't need the latest trends to feel good about myself.
That comes with being successful at work, being a good dad, a good person.

Dude...

Do you not understand how much faster LBs and DLmen are now compared to 20 years ago?

The game changes. Allow your opinion to do the same, or you'll just continue looking foolish.

Provide the data that proves that. If teams are using smaller people in their front packages that is more justification to draft a 247 lb beast to run against them. If teams are using more nickel and dime packages that is more reason to have a back like this. He is not slow! He is faster than many 215 lb backs in this league.

You could say the same thing about college ball and Henry sure succeeded there.

So Dunce Wayne's ideal modern RB would be McCluster? A small quick back to fit the times. Except Mcluster is not effective.

Look at the top 10-15 lb backs in 1996 and it's a mixed bag of guys with different styles and body types. The median guy is about 217 lbs.

Look at the top 10-15 backs in the league today and the median guy is about 217 lbs. What is different? Backs today are not smaller!

The main difference is that a back drafted in the first or 2nd rd then was expected to be a feature guy who can carry the ball 17-20 times. Today you rely on 2-3 backs to spread out the work load. That again makes the case for Henry.

If Dunce Detroit GED Wayne is so up and hip with the times why was he so against Cam Newton back in 2011? He didn't consider Cam worth a draft choice then.

Isn't Cam the poster player for how the league is different today from what it was in 1996?

So he has no clue. He hates Henry because he is a Bama-SEC player.

The guy defends Bishop Sankey....End of story.

Yikes. Talk about painful to read.

Most dudes "DGAF" and look like slobs. But you know why they "DGAF"?... because they lack confidence when it comes to fashion. They're insecure. And you proved it with this statement:

"When you rant about looking good you come off completely as effeminate"... That's sad, dude. Really sad.

You're the type that when your friends wear something nice or actually groom themselves you're all "GAAAAY"...

But I couldn't possibly care less what you consider "effeminate". It's sad that you classify someone taking pride in their look as such, but do you. Work on whats in your head that keeps you from doing similar.

"Most dudes want to be judged by performance" lmao... oh yeah? LOOK AT ME SELL CAR INSURANCE BRO!!! KILLLLLIINNNG!!!

What I do, personally is design and act. If I look like an uncreative slob... I'm cheating myself.

I'm my own canvas. Not going to look like a bum just because you're insecure with your masculinity and think neglecting appearance makes you a "real man".

Go eat some meat and bathe in a river. Whatever you do to feel more adequate by silly standards.

How many times do I have to correct you on this?

1. I was wrong about Cam Newton.

2. I have a BAD PLAYER bias. Not an SEC bias. I couldn't care less what school a kid goes to once it's draft time.

I've been on board with a ton of SEC players. Just not overrated ones. Get over it.
