lmao @ 3% bodyfat... c'mon dude.

View attachment 9159

^That's not someone with even close to 3% body fat. He'd be crazy defined. (3% isn't healthy, by the way and takes dehydration)

He's not very cut.

But he does look very lean. Which I think is good since he won't be a power-back. He may be more change-of-pace than expected.
OK, if you bother to read the article the Bama AT said that he was 3% WHEN he reported as a freshman to bama....not now....

Yes I have. I don't need to read it to know it is impossible to maintain 3 percent body fat at his LBM for extended periods of time. I've never once seen a picture of Henry at 3 percent BF. You haven't either, dosent matter how ripped he looks.

This forum is handicapped when it comes to fitness. Just like people wasting time debating JCB if he squatted 1000lb back in high school lmfaoooo
Excuse me? I definitely did squat 1000 then

And why can't you hang on 3%?

In 2015 the raw squat record was 1035lb by a powerlifter training his whole life. Yet some high school kid did 1000 no problem lmfao.

3 percent BF leaves your body with only the essential fats for your organs to function. It is very dangerous. Walking around like that year round can be harmful.

To the guy who said people are different some are skinny, some are fat etc. Yes I'm quite aware everybody's body metabolizes nutrients differently to provide different compositions. There aren't people who just stumble into 220 3 percent body fat because of their metabolism just the same as a 400 pound 40 percent body fat.

Professional bodybuilders struggle to get to 3 percent BF with incredible lean muscle mass while shooting themselves full of test and tren finishing their cycle with anavar to burn the fat. Yet this 18 year old Derrick Henry was able to do this unassisted. No matter how good his genetics are he had to eat at a surplus to gain his muscle mass. This means he was gaining fat. It is impossible for anybody to gain muscle while maintaining 3 percent BF the whole time unless on roids.

I always understood that your tissues that you need operate your kidneys and whatnot is basically the first 3%. I don't believe that any healthy athlete walks around at 3%.

Yeah....blah, blah, blah...you have zero knowledge of DH other than what you have read....I will take the word over Bama's SC over some random internet dude....and like I have said...I know people I race with that have tested at 4%...I myself tested at 6.7% so I can easily image 3%. But you are correct in one thing....it is impossible to maintain that kind of form for very long.

Can be done...hard to maintain...TDF top level guys....top 5 type of guys have to time their fitness to achieve as light as possible. Top guys are probably less than 3%....but they lose that level pretty quickly.

Yeah I'm not basing it off of Henry. I'm basing it off of how hard it is to get to 3 percent while maintaining solid LBM. You have to know what you're doing to get to that body. That means IF Henry did show up like that he would have been gyming hard to gain muscle, meaning he was eating at a surplus and not cutting fat. Then before showing up at Alabama he started doing a cut before. In order to get to 3 percent you usually need to refeed which would mean Henry had good knowledge around diet. So if he was able to pull all that off why would the athletic trainers need to make him a new diet? He would be pretty aware of a proper diet for his body to pull that off. Seems quite contradictory. No reason to lie about giving him a new diet either. A hyperbolic lie from a human being is far more likely then DH not understanding proper dieting but still showing up muscular at 3 percent BF.

Cyclers don't maintain a large amount LBM when they cut to those levels.

Correct.

Wow, now into the diet debate. If Henry was at 3%, I should have zero concern in seeing White 2.0. I didn't really have that worry, but nice reassurance. I know I put in a very solid minimal effort to maintain weight and sitting at about 20-25%, I can see how hard it is for those guys to get the BF% down so low. Man I love Taco Bell.
