Could be if he eats a horseClowney is not a 34 de...
I almost added the same lolCould be if he eats a horse
This team will look dramatically different from week1 2019
No Casey, probably no Logan Ryan and Wes woodyard, no Mary, no Walker, no Conk....
Losing a ton of leadership in Casey, Woodyard and Walker..
Where iz your the nfl has no cap magic wand?Clowney is listed as a 3-4 olb but he actually did line up as 3-4 de in Houston when Watt was injured and wrecked havoc. Probably was his best playing time for the Texans. I wouldn't mind them trying to get Chris Jones from KC for a 3 with a conditional pick next year and sign him and Clowney. It would mean cutting or trading Daquan and using all of our cap but a d-line of Clowney and Simmons and C. Jones up front with Landry and Beasley on the edge would be devastating. Now is the time to go for it and hope the cap raises as much as they expect.
Def Casey and Woody, but Walker has been out for basically 2 yrs. But still, lot of leaders are outLosing a ton of leadership in Casey, Woodyard and Walker..
no way we let Butler and Ryan go
Cut Butler and Sign Harris

Casey and Woodyard for sure, time for new guys to step up
Evans has been busy this offseason. Him and Jayon Brown should be have us in good shape.Casey and Woodyard for sure, time for new guys to step up
Plus Byard and Vaccaro seem well in command of this D
Its been posted ad-nauseum that Butler's contract is basically un-cutable. His cap hit would be massive.Cut Butler and Sign Harris
Also not for just letting go of everyone in one of the best secondaries in the league. Butler is good, Jackson is good, add Byard and Vaccaro, the secondary is still pretty dang good even without Ryan.
as a reminder, an improved pass rush also helps the secondary.

Chris Harris is gone to LA, for those thinking that was an option.
Clowney influences plays without having to get sacks though.I don't think Clowney can stay on the field. Casey had more sacks than Clowney last season.
Clowney doesn't have a double-digit sack total even in the one season he played all 16 games.
Why are we linking ourselves to Clowney?
We're not getting Clowney.

I don't see it. We just signed a guy at his position.
And I'm cool with that. Clowney has always been way more on potential than production.
Meh. Old and not worth the money. Surprised we got anything for him honestly.

Don't get me wrong, the dude is a freak of nature and can disrupt any game, but I can see this thread going to 100 pages talking about Clowney in Nashville. It's just not going to happen. I'd LOVE it if it did, but some posters on here shouldn't get their hopes up.
Not when he's on the sidelines.Clowney influences plays without having to get sacks though.
God what a bad move that would be.They're expecting Clowney to demand $20M+... might be too much... I could see us signing Clowney if we somehow dumped Butler...
