Passengers looks terrible, man.

I like Chris Pratt, but not in serious roles. He belongs in comedy. Parks and Rec, Guardians of the Galaxy, etc. When he tries to pull off serious lines in movies it just doesn't work.

Rogue One was just alright to me... nowhere near as good as Force Awakens. It's guaranteed to be better than Passengers though.

It's Jurassic World all over again. But damn I have the hots for Bryce Dallas Howard!

Another thing about Rogue One: it is a war movie. Like, a 60's and 70's type of WWII movie. Are war movies even made any more?...seems like the modernAfghanistan stuff doesn't work as well as WWII movies did.

One bright spot of the movie is that it has really got a bunch of feminists' panties in a wad.

I see stuff like this said here a lot. I really don't understand it.

Why is pissing feminists off a good thing? It it some "cool guy" pseudo macho thing I'm missing?

Genuinely curious.

Yeah..."I hate Lena Dunham, so feminists suck".
All I know is that in every crew I've led in construction, the women outperformed the men 2 to 1 in nearly every metric except lifting heavy objects, and the men almost lost that one too. Bill Gates told Iran that they would never advance in the world stage or achieve greatness as long as they continued to keep half of their population subjugated. I think he's right.

If you have seen the movie and read some of the comments regarding this movie, you might understand where I'm coming from.

I'm not sure how anyone can watch that movie and walk away from it saying the whole premise is celebrating white male privilege.

One even goes on to state that this movie is a sign that to "fix" the world's problems, we should change the idea of maleness and masculinity on a biological level.

Seriously W...T...F?

No idea as to the movie or what it's about. But I see the whole "yay! People that care about women's equality are pissed off!" stuff on this board a good bit. It's odd. I'm guessing it's mostly pseudo machoism in the form of jokes... but yeah... makes me wonder.

I think most of this stems from the subset of feminism that basically identifies everything male related as privilege and/or oppression to females.

I have a serious problem with a group of people who think that there is a problem with the existence of males because of what they deem as "male nature" and that somehow eradicating maleness (whatever that means) is the answer.

saw these 2 movies over the weekend, liked them both

The Accountant was really good, watched it this weekend and will watch again.. I liked the whole "nice to see you brother.. i love you too brother" part, i laughed

Was hoping for something a bit more mature, but I know where I am.

Defining "feminist" would be too much to ask.

Ah well... COMIC BOOK MOVIES!

Not to get off topic, but...

Feminism is not what it used to be. It has become radicalized and most intelligent women I know hate what feminism is today.

It's the very weak minded, brainwashed ones who label themselves feminists and jump to gender inequality assumptions every chance they get.

The lead female actress in Rogue One got significantly more money than everyone else. Which is fine. But why aren't men complaining about gender inequality?... Female models are paid exponentially more than male male models. Which makes sense. No men complain.

Men are logical and don't get butthurt about this nonsense. (Crazy) Women, on the other hand...

Sounds like yet another issue where a very, very tiny percentage of people who are ignorably insignificant are being elevated to national threat status to sell time on media outlets again, like "safe spacers" and PC culture and Christmas warriors. I'll be dismissing this as silly also.

If I'm not mistaken, female porn stars are too. Male equality!!!!!

Rogue One. It was alright. Space action good. Special Effects most very good even great, with some bad misses and questionable decisions. Characters pretty bland, but unlike prequels nothing to overtly hate for its stupidity. Overall, it was worth it to me to see in the theater and I enjoyed my experience although I don't think the movie was particularly great.

Just got out of Rogue One and I liked it. It felt like how a Star Wars story should be told as they used a lot of the ways the first movies were filmed in this one. At first the movie felt disjointed like SvB but quickly came back together. I liked the Empire characters in this film more than the Rebels and the way the movie ended was great.

I enjoyed Rogue One and liked it more than The Force Awakens, mainly because I've seen The Force Awakens before but it was called A New Hope.

I'm glad Disney is trying to expand the Star Wars universe, there is a lot to explore and getting a new movie every year is pretty great. We get Episode 8 this year and in 2018 the Han Solo movie.

I hope to see a couple fill in the gaps between Episode 3 and 4... well, Rogue One now.

Then... let's see some tales of the Old Republic!

Yeah, so like I said, they suck.
