I'm guessing they don't trade for anyone. They have Jacob Eason waiting to take over. Maybe resign Brissett as a backup. Not sure about that one though.

He had slipped my mind as well. I bet the bring back Brisket and let em fight it out in training camp.

What’s the benefit to the Lions? Stafford is a good QB and they don’t grow on trees. Who will they replace him with? What is their reason to trade a good QB still playing well and with a lot of years left. Just to help out the Colts? Do the Lions have a QB in waiting I’m unaware of? I don’t think he gets traded but if he does I see him going to New England. I think he is just the kind of QB they want. But just a guess.
Lol

Let's hope Stafford doesn't go to the Colts. I still think Stafford is a top 10 talent at the QB position.

Stafford over Rivers is one hell of an upgrade. This is why I hate that Rivers retired.

Stafford going to San Fran. Jimmy G goes to New England and Detroit drafts Trey Lance or Mac Jones. Indy goes with Eason.

I can't see Eason being the man just yet. Indy is in position to make noise right now, Eason just isn't ready. Super strong NFL arm, but still super raw.

I maybe wrong but I think the best record stafford ever had at UGA was 9-4, with a ton of talent. Even at Detroit to me he could have been better, good arm, bad decision maker, to many INT and fumbles, and I just think he is overrated and always has been, Tough guy just not elite, but if he goes to good team maybe, I do like him more than Rivers but not by much

They have to see what he can do at some point. No sense in waiting. Most quarterbacks are raw until they play.

I agree, but Eason is super raw. He has the tools to be an elite QB, but his decision making at Washington was just laughable.

He ran away from competition at UGA, only to go to Washington and be average at best. Like I said earlier, he has tools galore, but he's just not ready for the NFL just yet. If Indy was 6-10 or 7-9 and in this situation I could see them starting Eason, but the Colts were a QB away from beating the Bills. Colts are an all around good team. That's why I say they just can't risk it going with Eason just yet.

I don’t see them being an 11 win team and starting him yet. They really don’t have much invested in him so, they may not feel he has to start. I am not going to be surprised to see another QB on that roster in the starters seat.

At some point, they have to go young and quit getting yearly rentals. They want to be more of a balanced team. Eason has been in the system for a year now. Great time to go for it. I personally feel he is much better than others think.

Stafford or Wentz won't be a yearly rental though.

Eason was a 4th round pick. The Colts aren't obligated to give him any type of chance at QB. If someone comes at them, you take it. I could see your argument if Eason was a 1st or 2nd round QB, but he was a 4th round pick.

They would have to give up too much to get Stafford or Wentz.Qb is not the only hole they have on the team. If they give up what's needed to get one of the big name qbs, they won't be able to build the rest of the team up.
