I’m not sure why everyone is so set on investing another top draft pick or any of the limited cap room on a WR.

titans aren’t going to use them.

it’s all Henry, all the time, THill is QB, downing is OC.
Invest into the tools that will most help Henry.
go OL or TE in the draft unless there’s a spot to upgrade a top Defense but I think we may be set there.

I've been spending some more time on Reddit and the specifically the Draft subreddit.

Whenever someone like Ojabo or Jameson Williams or Drake London comes up, people who are fans of like 12 different teams make the "welp, my team is taking them, <insert GM here> loves injured players".

I think football players just get injured a lot.

Great deal JRob. Woods is a perfect fit and this contract allows for some flexibility.
I expect a Woods and Lewan restructure and us drafting RT in 1st and WR in 3rd. Not expecting any other major moves.

This draft is stacked with mid-round type TE's, so it doesn't really make sense to go TE in the first.

So to me, the question is which has a bigger drop off from late 1st round to 3rd/4th round. WR seems to really thin out after the 1st (still a few dudes like Alec Pierce that may or may not be there in the 3rd) and nobody with a full time job has any business with making a take on mid round OL prospects. OL kind of feels like it will drop pretty hard after mid 1st round, so in that regard, I think WR 1st round makes sense from a value perspective.

Plus, we seem to be worse at taking mid-round WR's than other positions.

There’s 6 OTs with a 1st round grade on multiple services I’ve looked at. Most mocks have at least 2 of those 6 available at our pick.

WR is also really strong in the 1st round. Either should be a good choice, and both are big needs.

Wonder if he is going to restructure his contract he is due 10 million this year? To get him for 2023 6th is a real steal. Fills huge need

Yeah. I guess it varies. If you look at The Draft Network, who has the best mock draft sim IMO, they have 7 OL in the top 22 on their board and the 8th guy is 54th. If you look at just OT, they have Iggy and Neal top 5, then Cross and Panning top 20, and the next tackle is 64 with the giant dude from Minnesota who probably isn't anywhere near starting in the NFL.

So if that is your board and Panning or Cross drops, you take them. If they are gone, then it makes more sense to look at WR.

Out of the top 50 tackles in the league, 17 were selected after the 2nd. Really difficult to hit on a tackle after the first 2 rounds.

20 of the top 50 WR were selected after the 2nd. Also difficult, but slightly less.

Hit wrong button sorry. With our history of drafting T and o-line I would take a playmaking wr. We can find T and guards in the 3 and 4th round

Love the pickup perfect for our offense, low risk very high reward. Not overly concerned about the knee, read a report the other day where he should be good to go for training camp. Only downside is that cap hit but we’ve seen this off-season that the cap is only an issue if you let it be an issue.

I was thinking we should draft the best WR available but now we are set with a #1 and #2 for a few years assuming we extend AJ. TE is really more of a need along with OL (Hooper might only be here one year so we need to get someone in).

Bottom line is if we want a LT you probably need to take one early. But that is exactly what we did with Radunz. In fact it is amazing how guys get drafted and need a year or two really be dependable yet fans every year think they can just grab a guy and insert him. Radunz might actually be better on the left side and maybe a good LG for now. Should be able to find a RT in the 3rd or 4th. Thus I'd go BPA and then TE, OT and OG/C.

Any fantasy thoughts of trading the #26 pick for a motherload is ridiculous. Best we might do is drop into the early 2nd and get an early 3rd. Oh, keep in mind the team we would be trading with has picks early in rounds so maybe swap 5th round picks or something. Still and extra 3rd that is early would go a long way.

Agree with you, but Radunz is also a "worst case" example.

You have a guy coming from a smaller school, that played in an offense not even remotely close to the pro game (see Trey Lance). And because of COVID, he only played 1 game his last year at NDSU.

If you take a guy that has 1000 drop backs and 1000 run plays at a Power 5, he is probably a lot more ready to step in.
