Nnot reallyJake was playing against some chitty defenses if you're really playing the surrounding talent card.
id say the difference in talent level of jakes huskies vs the defenses he were playing were
much greater than met and his lsu boys vs the defenses he was playin where the talent level is about even

Nah man. Look at the nature of the position. Mett was making throws against FAR superior defenses and defensive backs. Everyone knows that the PAC-10 doesn't play D very well. Tat's why when they meet up with the SEC, they get physically man handled. Mett threw against better DB's, into tighter/faster closing windows point blank.

That's both guys' college stats. Mett's career stats are objectively better than Jake's in every category except Total yards and attempts since Jake played one more year. In fact Mett's first year as a full time starter beats Jake's 4th year starter senior season in total yards, completion percentage, and yards per attempt! Finally if we look solely at their senior seasons (you know coming out as prospects) Mett not only beat Locker but destroyed him in every passing metric all while playing against future NFL players in the highest possible level of college football. It's not even close. If those two came out the same year there is no question who goes first.Mett is indeed light years ahead of where Jake was at this point in their careers. There is no debate.
I agree with the fact that if you want to claim supporting cast for Mett he also wins in strength and quality of opponents. Jake didn't have the supporting cast Mett did but he didn't play in the SEC either. I don't like either argument but if you use one you have to use the other.
I was solely against Mett before the draft and I still have my reservations but he's a Titan so here is hoping for the best whether it be him or Jake I just want a freaking QB to succeed. I'm sick of the lack of success we've had at that position since McNair I'm just ready for some stability and hope for the future.

So yall must think aj mccarron is gonna be a great qb right i mean he went almost undefeated his whole career vs sec
Mett and lsu vs sec is still 4 star vs 4 star recruits across the board washingtons 2 stars vs pac tens 3 & 4 stars is still a mismatch
This QB's vs SEC defenses argument always cracks me up.
I guess that's why when SEC QB's look like stars for 4 yrs... they come to the NFL and suck balls.

You should take Johnny's pic off... we don't know how he'll do. Could be Tim Couch 2.0... high pick that crashed and burned.
I was just showing starters. You should take Johnny's pic off... we don't know how he'll do. Could be Tim Couch 2.0... high pick that crashed and burned.
He will start.
8/32 teams have a starter from the SEC. 25% of the teams.
Might add the Titans if Jake eats shit.
Edit: 7/32
My brain
... so you found about 3 good SEC QBs... out of the past century.
Good job man. Good job.

Sample of what most consider the greatest QBs of all time.
Numbers don't lie.
Your anti-SEC bias is showing.
Just stop.
When you say ONLY three great QBs (debatable) in all of NFL history, where are you saying a majority of great QBs come from?
The BIG 10 lol?
