Dang, you guys wanna cut our entire defense.... I tend to think it's more likely that the coaching changes had a big effect, instead of that the bulk of our key defensive players just got worse at football.

Hard to say from this year what Adoree is worth. Before the injury he seemed to be progressing nicely Nicely enough for 10mil? Probably not, but he might get there.

The only way that can happen is if a long term deal is reached. The Titans would need to be willing to commit to a 3-4 year deal probably in the range of $30 to $35M or more.
If the Titans are unsure if he's worth a long-term investment, I think they'll pay the $10M to find out if he's worth the bigger deal but I don't see any circumstance they release him to save $10M.
I can see that after this year being a wash for him. Hopefully he bounces back with a strong 2021

If they sign him to a 4 year deal or so, I'd hope they can get under the $9-10 mil a year mark.
I think he showed enough promise prior to this year to keep him around, just not at that price.

I'd let Humphries walk and not re-sign Davis. Look for a reasonable vet to be the #2. I'd love to get JuJu if possible.
Butler and/or Adoree have to go. IMO Adoree is the better player but injury prone. Keep in mind Borders actually had a PFF rating comparable to Butler. Not the answer but definitely a better value. Maybe go with Fulton, Borders and re-sign King and look for another CB in the draft. Signing a WR leaves CB a possibility again in the 2nd or 3rd.
Maybe cut Vaccaro but with two years left might not be much cap savings. Hooker and Byard can basically play FS/FS but we need another young guys with upside.
1st round looks to be set up fairly nice for us to get an edge rusher. A bunch of QB, WRs and OTs are sure to go before our pick. The draft is heavy in edge prospects after pick 15.

Not worth a thread but I saw somewhere that the titans signed former Vanderbilt TE Jared Pickney to a futures contract. I think this guy has got some talent. He was projected to be a mid round pick 2 years ago.
